2019 's Top Selling Manga Titles in the First Half Announced

Oricon, a data compiling company specializing in providing information regarding Japanese manga/books/music industry, today published the results of Manga Volume  sales for the first half of 2019. The data is compiled between 19th November 2018 to 19th May 2019.






Top Selling Manga Titles in the First Half Of 2019 Announced



  1. One Piece (Eiichiro Oda)- 5,015,32

  2. The Promised Neverland (Kaiu Shirai/Posuka Demizu)- 4,180,039

  3. Kingdom (Yasuhisa Hara)- 4,044,339

  4. My Hero Academia (Kohei Horikoshi)-  3,148,345

  5. Quintessential Quintuplets/(Negi Haruba)- 2,940,013

  6. Attack on Titan/ Shingeki No Kyojin (Hajime Isayama)- 2,814, 044

  7. That time I got reincarnated as a Slime (Taiki Kawakami)- 2,527,807

  8. Haikyuu!! (Haruichi Furudate)- 2,451,633

  9. Kaguya-Sama: Love is war (Aka Akasaka)- 2,432,345

  10. One Punch Man (Yusuke Murata)- 1,814,307


Eiichiro's One Piece again ruled the sales ranking with selling more about 5,015,325 copies this year. One Piece has been taking over the first place in manga sales continuously for 11 years since 2009.





Also the effect of anime adaptation on manga sales can be seen from this year ranking. The Promised Neverland have jump from #8 to #2 with 4,180,039 copies already sold this year.

While series like Quintessential Quintuplets, That time I got reincarnated as a slime and Kaguya-Sama: Love is war has made into the list this year.

My hero Academia has climbed to #4 position taking over Haikyuu!!'s spot from last year's ranking.

While Attack on Titan has significantly dropped from #2 to #6 with fall in sale from 2,997,049 to 2,814,044.

Meanwhile One Punch Man is still reigning over at #10 spot while Black Clover didn't made it into list this year.
